Hello, my name is Rick Sharp and I am seeking your support for the office of Galveston County Constable, Precinct 7.
I hope to earn your trust and confidence during the Republican Primary, and your vote on election day.
My official goal is to implement a professional working relationship with area law enforcement agencies by providing strong leadership to the Precinct Seven Constable's Office. The constable's office is an often misunderstood arm of the justice system, but is an essential element of our justice system serving the civil needs of the public. The primary function and responsibility of the constable's office is serving civil process, executing court orders, serving warrants, and enforcing the State laws of Texas. The most effective community law enforcement is typically the result of all agencies coordinating efforts and resources in the most efficient manner possible. This collective teamwork theory reduces crime and tax payer costs. Under my leadership, Precinct Seven will work with local public agencies to address the concerns of our community and provide the most efficient and effective law enforcement services possible. My commitment to professionalism and teamwork, along with my 27 years of law enforcement and supervisory experience and innovative approach to problems, will ensure us the opportunity to provide a full range of law enforcement services our community deserves. As Precinct Seven Constable, I will bridge the gap between our community and law enforcement, offering practical access to community needs.
I was born and raised in Galveston County with family roots extending to the 1940's. My life has been strongly influenced by my strong belief in family values, and a lifelong dedication to community service. I am committed to serving our precinct, and am asking for your support to help me make a difference in OUR community.
